The difference, in plain terms.

Single process

Foils

Lightened pieces wrapped in foil for contrast and dimension. Start small with a 7-foil mini at $40, or go full at $130 and up.

Balayage

Hand-painted, softer at the root, designed to grow out gently so you're not tied to a six-week appointment. From $110.

Questions we get

Good to know

How long does color take?

Anywhere from about an hour for a single process to most of an afternoon for a full foil or a balayage. We'll give you a realistic window when you book.

Can you fix box dye?

Sometimes, and sometimes it takes more than one visit. Call and describe what's on your hair now, and we'll tell you honestly what we can do and what it'll cost.

Should I walk in for color?

We'd rather you didn't. A haircut fits into gaps in the day; color needs a proper block of time set aside for you.

How often should I come back?

It depends on the service and how fast your hair grows. A root touch-up is usually more frequent than a balayage, which is designed to grow out softly.

Color is worth booking ahead.

Call and describe your hair, and we'll find a window that actually fits.
